LUCKY TO REPRESENT MY COUNTRY!๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Isn’t it an amazing feeling when people give you and your country some respect because of your presence!?

I do think so… The first time I got to experience this feeling was in my school.

I was standing among 500 Brasilian students and some teachers. I held the Indian flag๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ, and beside me my friend held the Brasilian one๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ท…

A day before I had taken permission from the principal of celebrating 15th August with the School students. Even though the permission was granted, I had no idea what was I going to do…

Wearing formal clothes, hoisting the flag, singing the national anthem… But why will the students unknown to all of these things be interested… In hoisting indian flag?? All nervous and anxious, I went to my host mother asking what should I do to make the event interesting, unaware of everything she suggested me to wear Indian dress rather than a formal one… That was a good idea, infact because of it everyone in my school wanted to know more about India!๐Ÿ’ƒ

Not knowing the language made it a little different for me… Because I could not just go and start telling about India and why am I so proud to be an Indian… But not taking a lot of tension of how would the event go about… I just went to school๐Ÿ™ˆ! Soon both flags were held up high and the national anthems of both the countries were sung… Looking at the get up and my confidence in singing the anthem, everyone asked about what, how, and why was this day celebrates so specially… My English teacher helped me translate some things which were easy for them to understand… Things about how India had

Colourful festivals…๐Ÿงก

Various cultures…๐Ÿ’™

Many different religions…๐Ÿ’š

Thousands of Gods…๐Ÿ’

But still was a united country๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

They enjoyed the morning and I was proud of myself and my country…

Yes, that was how I celebrated 72nd independence day of India… Not with indians but with all Brasilians!

That day everyone wanted a picture with me… And again it made me feel like a celebrity…

“Memories of school day are unforgettable!”

That was true in my case… atleast for the Brasilian school. Here I made friends for life…

If I start writing names of my friends… It would fill one whole page… Emilio Romi (my school).. my friends, my teachers.. all of them are still in contact with me…and will be forever…๐Ÿฅฐ

Soon they will be visiting me…in India!!!

My home is always open for them!!!๐Ÿค—

Ohhh and my first day at school.. it was hilarious…

Do wait for my next blog to know… How an exchange student feels in a Brasilian school๐Ÿ˜

If you still haven’t read my other blogs, do read them…
